- To uphold psychology as a science and profession in our region by supporting the efforts of state and national psychological associations , without duplicating those efforts.
- To encourage the participation of professionals from diverse areas of psychology such as, academic research, clinical practice, school psychology, and such applied areas as industrial/organization, consulting, sports and other psychological specialties.
- To come together periodically for the exchange of psychological knowledge through forums, seminars, workshops and social gatherings.
- To promote continuing outreach to other professionals and to encourage interdisciplinary dialogue.
- To be available for service to the community in an effort to promote healing, education and wellness
- To educate the public and the legislature regarding the field of psychology and psychological services.
